Ciutadella
Ciutadella Harbour is one of the smallest ports in the Mediterranean and still used as a working port for small fishing boats and yachts. Visitors can sit beside one of many bars, cafes or restaurants and overlook the activity happening on the port. It's a fabulous place to take a stroll along the harbour and see the arrival/departure of the catamaran ferry which turns and docks in the small harbour.
Ciutadella Cathedral was built in the 13th century and wonderful piece of detailed architecture with stone carvings of mythical creatures and Neo-Gothic canopy which hangs above the main alter. It is well worth a visit to explore the historical events which happened in Menorca.
Ciutadella - Cala en Bosch
Aqua Rock Water Park is a fabulous place for a day out with the family and young children. The park consists of many more activities such as a children's play area and its own restaurant with a good safety precautions.
Go-Kart Race Track is situated next to the Aqua Rock water park, so to make the most of the day out a visit across to the race track can add to the amusement for the day.
Ciutadella - Cala en Blanes
Torre del Ram Racetrack is located in Cala en Blanes and is very popular form of horse racing in Menorca. It is an exciting spectacle and would highly recommend a visit with the opportunity of making some money by placing a bet.
Ciutadella - Cala en Blanes - Los Delfines
Los Delfines Aquapark is a water park with many great water based attractions for families to enjoy with their young children. The park features some exciting slides, water tunnels, play area and restaurant.
Ferreries
Ferreries - Cala Galdana
Club Escola Menorquina Horse Show is a fabulous spectacle and performance which shouldn't be missed! The riders are perform on Andalucian horses and trained in the Menorcan way showing the connection between man and beast.
Ferreries Market is a market held on Saturday mornings and offers fresh local produce of fruit, vegetables, cheese and honey. Also available are craft stalls and folk dancing performances.
Es Mercadal
Monte Toro is the highest mountain in Menorca and 357 meters high. There are many walkways and roads to drive to the top of the mountain where visitors will find the statue of the Virgin holding Jesus discovered by the legendary bull. At the top of the mountain is a courtyard, well, tower and restaurant with stunning views of the island from the terrace.
Es Mercadal - Son Parc
Hort de Llucaitx Park is a recreation park near Son Parc with many activities for families with young children. It is a nice countryside to feed animals, pony trekking, bike riding and mini-golf.
Son Parc Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course and perfect for players of all ability, therefore its ideal for beginners and experienced golfers. The course is surrounded by hilly forests with a great variety of bird life and stunning views to Monte Toro.
Es Mercadal - Addaia
Harbour of Port Addaia is a long natural harbour with many yachts on the marina. The port is a peaceful and pleasant area with many bars and restaurants overlooking the beautiful marina.
Alaior
Lloc de Menorca Zoo is a great zoo for families to visit with younger children. There is a large variety of Menorca's own species with other wild and wonderful animals. There is a suitable play area, souvenir shops and a bar in the company of parrots.
Torralba Den Salford is a prehistoric site with an impressive standing taula 5 meters high, two outstanding talaiots, caves and ancient ruins.
Alaior - Son Bou
Bowling and Amusement Centre has many other fun activities including children play area, arcade machines and bars/cafes. It's a great place to visit for families with young children for day and evening entertainment.
Club Sant Jaime has many water based activities including a swimming pool with waterslides, maze with water sprinklers in the day and monsters in the evenings. The complex offers stunning views to the countryside and sea.
Roman Basilicas was built by the Romans between 300/400 AD and was a religious building to gather the public. It's a great piece of history and a recommended attraction for visitors to explore.
Torre den Galmes is another prehistoric site and the largest talaiot in Menorca and dates back to 1400 BC. The site consists of three talaiots and a taula.
Alaior - Cala en Porter
Cova den Xoroi was a prehistoric dwelling but been converted into a bar and restaurant in the day and it boasts stunning views over the Mediterranean. In the evening the venue becomes a nightclub.
Mahon (Mao)
Mahon Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and the marina consists of fishing boats, yachts and speedboats. Around the harbour there are many boutiques, bars, restaurants and cafes with views to the marina for a relaxing time. At the harbour visitors have the opportunity to take a cruise around the harbour in a glass bottom boat and the expedition explains the historical importance.
Menorca Museum is the largest museum in Menorca and uncovers Menorca's history as well as its archaeological past. The museum displays a wonderful collection of paintings and engravings from the 18th and 19th century.
Xoriguer Gin Distillery is situated on Mahon Harbour and has Gins dating back to the 18th century with aromatic flavours.
Es Freginal Park is in the heart of Mahon and offers great places to sit and have picnics in the sun with fabulous flower exhibits. It's a popular spot to experience cultural events and performances from class musicians on the main stage of the park, especially during the Jazz Festivals.
Mahon - Es Grau
S'Albufera des Grau is a natural reserve on the coast where visitors can explore the wetlands, Menorcan scrub and ancient ruins. Visitors will also find many different species of birds living in the reserve.
Sant Lluis
Es Moli de Dalt is a beautifully restored traditional windmill which dominates the skyline of Sant Lluis. It is now a museum and opened to the public for visitors to explore.
Es Castell
Sant Felip Castle is located on the south bank of Mahon Harbour and built in the 16th century. The castle played a leading role on Menorca's history during the 17th century and conquered by the British who extended it to provide greater defence. Eventually the Spanish recovered the island and ordered its demolition and all that remains today are ruins which are well worth a visit to learn the history.
Fort Malborough Museum was built by the British in the 18th century and named after the Duke of Malborough. It is a seven sided building and been converted into a museum for visitors to learn about the history. This fort was under many attacks but incredibly never destroyed.
